@blabberlicious I am afraid to watch this. I paid Incogni for a year of service not too long ago.

Back in 2021 before I realized the Covid vaccine wouldn’t stop me from getting Covid I took some training to get certified to be a Notary Signing Agent with the #NNA

I used to be a mortgage processor when I was able bodied, so I thought this would be perfect for me. I used to produce these documents so I totally understand them, even though it’s not legal for a #Notary to explain them.

Back then part of the NNA NSA service included listing us with lenders and closing companies so they can contact us to do closings. Maybe I’m dumb, but I didn’t think that meant PUBLIC websites. I thought this was some kind of database that people would have to log in to look at. Nah lol

What this actually meant was that they were going to blast our information on a bunch of public websites. And if we didn’t have a separate business address when we registered with the NNA the address we gave them for our membership would be made public.

I FREAKED OUT. My address was everywhere. The first year I would message these individual closing agent websites and ask them to remove me. I complained to the NNA and they actually removed the blurb from their website about that program that talked about putting us on websites, but I’m not sure they stopped doing it. I think they just took down the documentation showing that they do it because I freaked out so hard.

ANYWAY, the point of this long story was that I couldn’t find them all and have them taken down, I googled myself every month and then had panic attacks and then sent out a bunch of emails and this went on and on.

So when 404 Media advertised for #Incogni I decided to try it out. Last time I googled myself I was nowhere. I am so happy. It pulled my information off of the only accurate “free people search” site I have ever found. It deleted me so much I don’t even show up as someone my little brother knows.

I’m afraid to watch this. I don’t want to learn that I screwed up by doing this. But it’s in my queue to watch later. Not knowing how I screwed up doesn’t stop the consequences of screwing up and I know it.
